Cosplay: Lina Inverse

My Lina Inverse costume!

Aside from the gems, which I commissioned from , every part of this costume was made by me. Needless to say, there's about three months of work in this, between sewing the clothing and cape and making the shoulder armour, belts and talismans.

The talismans and shoulder armour are made from sheet plastic, all cut to shape, glued together with hot glue and painted. The clothing and cape were sewn without use of patterns and boots are boot-covers glued to a pair of slip-ons. The gloves I bought (yay for not needing to make those!). The earrings are modified Christmas decorations.

The wig is actually one and a half wigs; I bought two then added wefts and the fringe from one to the other, as one alone wouldn't have enough body for Lina's crazy puffy hair.

It was great fun being Lina! She's such a fun character. My favorite part of the costume is the cape, it's so swooshy!
