    Boxes, boxes, boxes and the wonders of Ikea-land

    Yes, the inevitable is happening; I'm moving out of home this weekend!

    Things are going in boxes, furniture is going on trucks, our local Ikea theme-pa... I mean, superstore, is being fully utilized, and huge mountains of old pictures are heading straight for the recycling bin.

    *insert scream of pain here*

    No really, I've got about ten years worth of sketchbooks, loose pieces of paper and random paintings to go through. A lot of which is cringe-worthily bad, some of which are the original sketches of popular fanart pictures (which I'll need to keep to combat art-thieves, as proof of ownership. Back art thieves! Back!) and some of which I just plain want to keep. Drawing sure leaves a lot of baggage.

    Aside from all the packing, organizing accounts, water and electricity, internet access and all that other 'fun' stuff, I'm pretty excited about the whole thing. I'm moving in with good company, don't worry. ^_^

    But if I suddenly start answering even less notes and emails than I currently do, it's probably because we're waiting on net connection. Or possibly the removal van has left us in some remote corner of Mundaring*, and we've had to huddle up in our wardrobes to keep warm. You never know.

    *I'm not actually moving to Mundaring. Thank god. We're a lot closer to the city.

    Imagine if there ever was a fire in Ikea, everyone would be so totally screwed because it is impossible to find your way out of that store under normal conditions in less than one hour so how the hell could anyone evacuate quickly in an emergency?

    Oh yay! Moving out of home is so exciting! ^^ I remember when I did it last year. I didn't leave my apartment for a month because I was afraid of getting lost XD. Have fun moving!!

    IKEA!!!! It's addictive that place! (But a lot of people have been wanting my furniture, so when I go to collect it, IT'S NOT THERE!!!) *sigh* I am doing up my room! I can understand why you see it as a theme park! It so is! ^_^
