Wai-con: Steampunk Mascotsby *Risachantag

This is my entry for Wai-con's steampunk mascot competition for Wai-con 2008! ([link])

I love the topic, so I really wanted to enter this one. The mechanical designs were a real challenge, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Part of the entry requirements were that we included either a symbol related to Perth or Wai-con, so that's Perth's skyline in the background (

with a few extra chimneys) and the Wai-con logo on the back of the bike.

Time: 12-15 hours
Tools: Photoshop CS2 and CS3, Wacom Graphire & Wacom Intuos tablets

great detail despite the fact that it is "bright" steampunk. it's not often that someone will put this amount of work into the clockwork-genera without adding a more gothic touch. great job.
