Kookaburra sits in the old... frangipani tree. =P

One of the things I love about living close to couple of bush reserves is that we get all sorts of neat birds visiting our garden from time to time. Today I looked out my bedroom window to see a kookaburra in the tree right outside my window.

Heh, they're really awesome. This one sat around not looking too worried as I snapped shots from a number of angles.

The best bit is, I got to pay this model for his/her services. It waited patiently in the tree while I went back inside and pulled out a little piece of ham to give to it.

What a nice shot. They do sit still for quite a bit though, dont they. They dont fear the camera thats for sure... unless of course you suprise them with the flash, like i did. [link]
