My reaction to seeing the 368/2 Days trailer at the Tokyo Games Show. (Yes, I was actually there in the closed theatre!)
I'm sure many people here already know my stance on sues (heck, this isn't the first comic I've done about them; [link]), but I just had to do this. I would never have thought the same studio that wrote the scripts for KHCoM and KH2 would have such bad writing as to bring in not only a Mary Sue, but one of the sueiest sues that ever sued. Best friends with Roxas and Axel? Has dramatic scenes with Riku? Wields a keyblade? Keeps running away, and has to have Axel come and drag her back? At least there's a good chance she'll die a dramatic death, but you know what? That's ANOTHER thing Sues are famous for! Argh! ...oh well, at least Birth by Sleep looks much more awesome. Time: 5 hours Tools: Photoshop CS2, Wacom Graphire tablet *EDIT* GUYS, I'm not bashing a character "I know nothing about". I've seen the closed theatre trailer, which shows quite a lot of her character. Quite enough, to be honest. This is my response to that. I understand a lot of you haven't seen the trailer, and so don't have as strong an impression of Xarmy's character as I do, but you can stop telling me I'm not allowed to have an opinion on her. No, really. *EDIT2* ...and now I've played the game too. I rest my case. |
