Freedom Fall: Marsh statue by Risachantag Freedom Fall: Marsh statue by Risachantag
I have to say, I had a great time making that Amaterasu figurine, so when a friend of mine was hosting a craft day a few weeks back, I gave sculpting another go.

I only had one sitting to get the sculpting done... so that was pretty intense! There's certainly some proportion errors and messy parts here and there, but I'm pretty happy with how he turned out.

It's pretty cool having the main character of my game sitting there on the window sill, giving me a discerning look each time I get distracted. It must be working though, as we've passed the half way mark! The website's coming soon too, so I can't wait to share that with you all!

Time: 5 hours sculpting, 3 hours painting/finishing.
Tools: Super sculpey, hot glue for the effects, acrylic paint, gloss and matt varnish.

Wow! You're making a game? I'm planning on undertaking a project like this with the books my wife and I are writing.

I hope it's a success! And I'll definitely be keeping track of this so that I can buy it once it hits Xbox live!

Impressive! I hope you do more like this one day. I also love the hot glue wind. A while ago I tried doing something similar for a Sailor Saturn garage kit, but it was just too big and didn't work out. Yours looks amazing.

You did that in one sitting!?! That's awesome! The details are really well done and the watery effect looks perfect with him.

Ah, I should be more specific there, the sculpting was done in one sitting, the painting was done later. Thanks, I'm glad you like it! =)

Id' say it came out quite well. Though how did you do the wind parts circling around the base?

That's made with a hot glue gun, by applying the glue to a sheet of thin plastic. Hot glue is essentially liquid plastic, so there's a lot you can do with it.
