I wanted some practise with dramatic lighting, so I decided to paint this picture with a strong back-light. I went back to my old technique of painting in greyscale first, so it took me quite a while to find a colour scheme that worked for me. It's amazing. Simply amazing. My favorite part of it all, it may sound weird, though, is the water. I have seen many good work from you, so the good figures are common. But I feel that the water you painted here is so good, that, if you trim it, it could make a painting on its own. I'm not saying that I don't like the rest of the painting, though. I'm saying that you really exceeded my expectations with the lighting in the water, and the water itself. Keep up the good work
