My Dissidia Tifa cosplay! ...don't you know, she's a super-secret unlockable character!*

So, I found myself with a week and a half to Wai-con and a surprisingly large amount of free time on my hands. I'd finished the Lina costume and had originally planned to just re-wear a Robin costume. ...but I heard a number of my awesome cosplay friends were doing a Dissidia group, and if you follow my gallery, you'll know I'm a HUGE Dissidia fan!

I really didn't have time to make a costume from scratch, so I decided to do something kinda random and silly, and make a Dissidia style Tifa costume! At first, I was just going to add some beads and things, but in the end, I re-made the gloves and arm warmers and made the side skirt... and, well, it ended up being a fair bit of work!

It's great fun making original designs for a costume! I had a lot of freedom with this one. The Dissidia style has lots of random beads, decorations, ripped clothing and Amano art references hidden in it, so I adapted a few details from the Amano art then did what I wanted with the rest.

You can't really see from the picture, but there's a Cloud ring, a Chocobo feather and a wing attached to the belt across my hips too. =) Just a few little details for fun.

*Only unlockable if you brought Aeris back to life in FFVII, naturally. =P

Edit: Tifa's now playable in Dissidia Duodecim! XDD... who would have thought it I'd manage to cosplay a character before they were even announced?

Awesome rendition! Thank you for basing it off the original costume. (BTW: Tifa should have been an unlockable character. After all, the only girl really was Terra, and I dunno about you, but she annoys me XD)
