Bearded spike-tail hatchlings show a natural curiosity towards fire, even before their flame production capabilities emerge. Researchers should be warned against the temptation to use mature dragon flames in experiments as the variance in temperature range will not produce consistent results.

Also, burning down laboratories is frowned upon in most circles.
